I have been corrected by our illustrious SCTA President Roy Creel (retired
fireman) that what I was calling wet water and Cold Fire are not the same.
Please accept my apology in this matter....I was reluctant to use a products
by name brand and to not say that it was the only one accepted. I speak as an
inspector at times in these replies and not as the final answer from the SCTA.
Like I said as inspectors we see what is being used and what is acceptable. I
was hoping to show that a halon product was not the only product which could
be used in an enclosed vehicle. Roy is listed in our Rule book and as the
fire extinguishing specialist.
