Section 3.Q Fire Extinguishing Systems

Flame Out Inc. Halon fire systems are no longer accepted by S.C.T.A.
effective
1-1-2004. These systems must be discharged and the actuating mechanism
serviced to properly perform the annual certification. No vendor is
available to properly certify these systems.
These systems are identified by:
- Steel cylinder. This can be checked with a magnet.
- Cylinder cannot be separated from the spring actuated firing
device without discharging extinguishing agent. IE: Bottle will not unscrew
from actuator.
- Pressure gauge is integral with the firing mechanism, not the
cylinder.
- Bottom of cylinder is rounded.

Section 4 Definitions
4.EE Step pan, 2nd sentence, modify to read:
The step pan shall be flat, parallel to the ground and no wider than the
frame rails.
4.X Roof Rails
Add new 3rd sentence:
The roof rails must be parallel from the front to the rear.
Section 5.B Vintage Category
Add new sentence at the end of pp4: Modified Roadsters are exempt from the
front tread requirement. The minimum wheel rim diameter for all Vintage
Category vehicles with the exception of /VOT is 14.
Section 5.B.2 Fuel-Gas Roadster
Pp3, delete words:
with any grille shell
Pp3, modify to read:
is no greater than 143 for all roadsters, except 1933/34 Ford roadsters
which are allowed 152. All other roadsters whose stock production length
is longer than 143 shall be allowed their stock production length.
