Hi folks, I know a lot of people on this list read BRN. This is for
those who like the motorcycle streamliners.

A three-part interview with Sam Wheeler, contender for the World MC
Speed Record with his 300+ mph E-Z-HOOK Kawasaki-powered 'liner, has
just concluded in BRN. After his timed mile at 326 and exit speed of
334 at the recent World Finals meet, many believe that Sam will take the
World Record next year!
A similar, but longer interview with Dave Campos, present F.I.M. World
MC Speed Record holder at 322.149 mph, is scheduled for the next issue
which will appear in a few weeks. Dave, of Albuquerque, NM, set the
record in 1990 in the Easyriders 'liner using two Harley-based nitro
engines for power.

In the story, Dave tells about his whole racing life: his years as a top
American star of mc fuel drag-racing during the '60s and '70s, which led
to riding a 200+ mph open-wheel fuel bike at Bonneville. He reveals all
the inside stories, and ALL the technical details. And finally, the
long, long struggle by Dave and friends with the project that became the
World Record Easyriders 'liner. Its building, development and running,
which cost close to $500,000, extended from 1975 to 1990; with many
trips to the Salt Flats, and two 300 mph crashes, before being crowned
with TRIUMPHANT SUCCESS!
