Yeah, I remember it. Shows what an old fart I am.
Ill handling vehicle if my memory serves me. The driver was in one tank,
the engine in the other. Painted an ugly red color at one time and the
construction was not very well executed as I remember. My only comparison
was some other cars I'd seen and I wasn't well acquainted with anything
other than stock frames. There was a lot of buzz about the car but this was
an era when Wally Parks could drive Bill Burke's belly tank on the salt with
1" of oil sloshing around in the bottom of the tank at the start of a run.
Rex Burnett cleaned up several cars with his drawings. A huge improvement
over their real life appearance.
