That was quite a "chaser". One of my colleagues did the same thing with
a cup of ethylene glycol/water coolant that he had drained out of a
system.
I guess one moral of these stories is to quit drinking coffee?

I recall once when my dad was brazing or silver soldering in the shop.
He was
a big coffee drinker, had his cup with him at all times. Now remember
this is
pre-EPA. The acid was in a coffee cup on the weld bench - you can figure
this
out - without lifting his goggles he grapped the acid cup and took a
drink.
Rinsed his mouth out at the sink and went back to work, pretty tough old
guy.
