Why is there no Bonneville record for F- or G-engined Blown Fuel Modified
Roadsters on the SCTA-BNI website? Is this an oversight? Or has no one hit
set minimums?

Finally, something regarding racing and that I can answer!

Matt,

Bonneville classes with no records listed indicate that the class is open. If
the engine size is allowed for the body class(see rulebook) then to set a
record requires two consecutive runs to equal an average.

In your case, F & G Blown Fuel Modified Roadster is open, two laps = record.
The Bonneville 200 MPH Club has set minimums on the open BNI classes. Thats
another story for later on. There are minimums for these classes at El Mirage
because we race for a season points championship. The points are based on the
speed you run against an existing reocrd or minimum.

I like the first part of the week for attendance at Speedweek as that is when
the most vehicles are there. Friday is inspection day and very interesting as
you can see the race cars with the body panels off and talk with the crews in
a relaxed atmosphere. The first few days of racing do result in long lines for
the competitors but it all shakes out OK.

This is a very brief answer to your question. Thanks for asking and please
jump in with any hting else you may think of.
