We had one on our Studibaker back in 1968, an ex drag race piece I
think.. We attached it to the un reinforced rear crossmember of the Stude
chassis. First pass at 158 bent the crossmember about 4 inches. The thing
was way too big for our application about a 14 footer as I remember. The
pack was about 18 X 18 X 9 inches. After reinforcing the mount we kept using
it all the way up to 181 though, couldn't afford anything else and besides
it was a Bonneville car it HAD to have a parachute to be cool.
