I know certain board members read what is said here but do not answer( I
don't blame them either). So here goes: I wouldn't be spending 10 to 20K
building a car with a backwards body without really making sure it's
allowed. I can almost guarentee that the Board would stop it after they had
a good laugh. Just because the "book" doesn't say you can't do something
doesn't mean you can. Remember I'm not a board member and do not vote but
I've been going to Reps and Board meeting for almost 30 years and I wouldn't
want some one starting something and find out it was never allowed to begin
with.

Case in point is rear steer. I know, I know, they have allowed it to be
tried but the definition of an automoble has been in every rule book and it
states strrering must be from 2 front wheels. A modified roadster trying to
use it a few years ago found out the hard way.

This forum is fun and informative for a lot of folks needing answers and
many are willing to help. But to me a rumor of someone thinking of doing
something is just what it seems. I'm sure NASCAR doesn't say the anything
about which way to mount the body either...Now if our Propster buddy Francis
would bring this up we'd get 200 messages a day.

I believe thinking "outside the box" has it's place. Everyone of the older
guys knows I built my roadster using the rules between the lines but never
what wasn't allowed. 4 rules changes did stymy a little of my creativity but
that never discouraged me either. Hey! it's all for fun anyway since I'm
having a hard time making a living on the "prize money"....Good luck and
Have Fun...J.D.
