Just as a comparison, a 1960s Ferrari 3- liter V-12 had two oil filters
(one filtered the bypassed oil) mounted in the front of the engine,
right on top. Since the filters had anti- drainback valves in both
filters, you could stand there in your tuxedo and change the oil
filter(s) by hand without even getting dirty.

I think the designer, Ing. Columbo, had his sh*t together.

Same for a 5.8 96 Ford F-150 with the trailer tow package (oil
cooler)With out the proper amount of rags stuffed in the frame cross
member hole you fill it up...J.D.


It's some kind of conspiracy!  There's no way to change the horizontally
mounted oil filter on a Jeep 4 liter six without making a mess (and
having a
Terette's episode) either.
