The Air force is looking at this as a big P R plus for them. The caveat is:
"The show had sought permission to use an Air Force base. Edwards Air Force
Base in the Mojave Desert where the space shuttle sometimes lands on a dry lake
bed wasn't available due to recent rains. Under Defense Department
regulations, a production firm that uses a military installation must pay for
costs to the government."

what are the possibilities of this? Since you brought it up (and since I
tend to be about as determined as a pit bull trying to bite a porterhouse

use that runway for LSR purposes.
While we're on this subject, what exactly is "continuous pour"? I've heard
this term quite a bit, and I've worked in construction, even with the City of
L.A., and the biggest thing I've ever done was an 18 inch thick 100 foot long
driveway at the zoo for the busses. That took a fleet of concrete trucks so
I'm thinking that the way we did that might be what continuous pour is.
