Per respondents suggestions about the Shelly Howard crash - there is
already a device in use. Monster Trucks have a radio-controlled device to shut
off the ignition which can be activated by any of several event officials in
the arena.
This was made necessary by operating heavy, powerful vehicles in an
enclosed area. The wrong bounce can distract the driver, or affect the
machinery just long enough to head into the stands. Shutdown is a priority in
these instances.
Anyone want to suggest this to the NHRA?
