Jim;

We used the same "walkie- talkie technique" to analyze problems that a
Chinese weigh scale manufacturer was having. By adding some filtering
and shielding-- which should have been designed into it in the first
place-- his problems went away.

One of the 'off the wall' tests we used to do on new electronic
devices that came to us was to simply hold my 5 watt walkie-
talkie over it and transmit.  It was amazing the number of devices
that just quit.  I still use the same test (among others) on all of the
boards/devices I make.
