I'm a member (charter member) of the ISOC. (Internet Society)
WSIS 2005, like WSIS 2003, has many people from many
country's involved. A substantial number of the people
are political types with little knowledge of the history
and development of the Internet.
They propose ideas that reflect this ignorance.
The meeting in Tunas is phase 2 of the 2005 WSIS.
The function the UN is performing is primarily meeting
administration. They supply the rubber chicken.
The writer of the article didn't understand the nature
of the "information" he was looking at.
