Been using different brands for 30 years and never over heated or hurt an
engine because of water pump failure. GPM is important as well as flow
(water control). The only people I know who have hurt an engine using
electric pumps are the ones who forgot to turn them on or to check to
impeller before installing it. Jabsco's I check myself, CSI's I send in for
inspection; that's what the off season is for......My $.02..Good Luck...J.D.
