Me and the Insight got invited to a car contest at the NY Auto show Friday,
and I trailered the car in about four AM to avoid the mid-town traffic. I
expected a Urban Bling car to win ,so the results of popular vote was
surprizing.
"Chopper, King of Cars", new A&E channel show Emcee, awarded me 3rd place at
the SweetStreetRides contest after the votes were tallied about four PM.. I
got beat by the 1st place 396 Nova, and a new Neon Turbo with BoomBox
Amperage came in second.
As everybody kept asking about " where's the 'stension cord ", or what it
is, I think I was rong place/rong time. Another guy had a
Super Cherry 351 Mustang, all original, even the tires, came in last. go
figger
So when I left, I did have a crowd watching, which I obliged with a
smoke-out up 11th ave.
Loooong day, especially being trapped in a tent with 139 DB crap music
blasting out. Wished I was unturbo with Zoomies.......coulda' retaliated...
