We had a discussion on this a while back, I just archived it for my own  info 
and couldn't find the conclusion. I do seem to remember that Garmin makes a  
reasonably priced yet quite accurate mph optioned unit that would suit LSR. 
And please don't wear Speedos to The Salt. Rollie Free beat you by a few  
years.
