Guys, I swear there is something evil out there in the air that is trying to
keep us from our appointed destiny on the salt....... Last night I was
preparing to replace a fuel return line from the regulator to the tank... a
10 foot single interrupted piece of -8 braided line. So... I snip the line,
put the fitting over the line, chuck it in the vise and start threading the
cutter into the fitting..... when I smelled smoke. Seems my 10' line was
resting on the positive terminal of a spare Optima battery sitting on the
floor and just burned a gaping hole in my brand new line..... What the hell
are the odds of THAT happening???? 80 bucks up in smoke, plus the price of
the beer to calm me down........
