When the Hoffman/Markley liner was new and in bare aluminum I got a
shot of Wally Parks leaning over the car and inspecting the interior.
He turned to me and said "This is potentially the fastest car n the
salt". They proved it with that little 5 liter DeSoto Hemi engine
turning in a time over 380 on a last Banzai run. I think their FIA
record was in the 367 range.

Bones is gone and I treasure the 8X10 color photo he sent of the car
but even more I treasure the letter he sent with it.

When Harry took it down out or the rafters in their shop and sold it to
Gale Banks I was excited to see what would happen ... still waiting to
be excited again. Hope it isn't too long.
