When I first acknowledged Bill's suggestion to have a special lane, I
made a suggestion to add a course and share it between the over and
under 175 vehicles, identical to the way USFRA does it (not counting
the 130/150 club course)
There is obviously enough timing equipment to run three courses
without extending the state of the art in timing. Of course, both
associations would have to work together to accomplish this.
Remember, no new equipment to be bought.....only cooperation. And
don't mess with anything else....like times required to run on what
course. I have heard of added equipment.....what would that be? Two
ambulances were at Speedweek, lots of volunteers were available that
were never consulted or even notified that someone was needed to do
something to help (there were at least three in my group).

Result: Reduce the racer's overhead from about $400 to $700 per run
to about $150 to $300 per run...not counting breakage and mostly
depending on where the entry comes from.

And when the third course becomes under-used, shut it off and hold it
for a course change due to surface problems and then simply turn it on.

Let's keep thinking positively...thank you Ed. (and others)

(no solution is just that.....no solution!)
