I use soft stainless steel safety wire to hold the ceramic fiber insulating
tape on my headers. It doesn't rust and it's cheap!

I forgot, soak the header wrap in water for a few minutes before wrapping
it. It makes it more pliable and will mold to the shape of the pipes better.
Wrap it on lightly so it touches the pipe everywhere.
In addition to bailing wire to hold it on, they sell stainless header
clamps. They are similar to plastic wire ties only stainless. They are sweet
but
relatively expensive. They do look and work good though. You could use
radiator
clamps also. Typically you only need one at the end of each wrapping as you
overlap the start of the wrap.
