I agree- if I had a choice of only one book on fasteners it would be
Smith's.

I've used 3M 2216A/B epoxy on rivets now and then, I've also dipped them in
zinc chromate primer before inserting them in their holes.

Neil,  Thanks for sharing all your knowledge on rivets. There are always
so many little details to pay attention to. Do you every use an adhesive
along with rivets? That might slow the galvanic action down a wee bit.
I found all of Carrol Smith's books and especially the one on fasteners
to be a wealth of information on the technical details of making metal
stay where you want it.
