Bobby, adjusting doors on any car is the hardest job, ask any body shop.
Adjusting T doors is an art. First you must have firm, good hinges with no
play. Next you have to have the right size door. Legend has it that the
factory had three door sizes on the assembly line, (short medium and long)
as the cars came along.

There are two tricks assuming the hinges are good. The correct way is to
shim the tub where it bolts to the frame giving some flex in the right
place. The easier trick is to use a turnbuckle? inside the door. This
attaches inside the door on a diagonal, and has a screw adjustment to bend
and pull the door in a little to make a better fit. 

The door must close to the second click on the latch(which must be tight)
Shims for the latch are sold by Abingdon Spares in New Hampshire. 

Of course many T's are on the road with bungie cords because all of the
above don't work!
