I know that the model car guys (check hobbiests magazines) have a vacume
plating process that actually "plates" a sprayed on metallic coating. I've
also seen firms in Hemmings that do full dashes for American muscle cars -
get out the magnifing glass and get to work!!!

Often it is easier and cheaper to buy a new one of anything that needs
replating.
