OK, gang, thanks for all that information.
It looks like a change or repair of socket is in order.
Now ... my old body is having difficulty getting under the panel. I can no
longer do the pretzel thing. There are several, what appear to be plugs on
the panel that holds the light, can those plugs just be popped out and are
there screws behind it?
