Jim,

Picking a pump for your application is easy. The problem you run into is noise.
There are no totally "quiet" pumps. There are pumps that make less noise then
other's, and there are ways to install a pump so that the noise emission is
less.

The "quietest" of all the pumps is the gerotor type (FM part # P60430). The
problem we have with this pump is that it has a gallon per hour rating of only
30. This will probably starve your system at 6500 RPM. Plus it is very
sensitive to dirt. The next best is the rotary vane pump ( FM part # P4600HP).
It has a 100 gallon per hour rating. There are lower rated RV pumps such as the
P4594 which is 72 gallons per hour if you feel a 100 is over kill. If you do go
to the rotary vane style, we do make a quiet pack (FM part # 18-14U), but it's
basically rubber hose and redesigned isolator mounts and it fits the P4594 only.

When installing a RV pump it needs to be within 2 feet from the tank and
preferably below the tank. Running steel line directly to the pump will increase
the noise emissions. Use rubber to the pump and insulate the steel line wherever
you have close contact to the frame. You may have to work with the pump mounting
to isolate it from the frame also.

Always use an oil pressure cutoff switch when you wire the pump up.

I hope this helps you Jim.
