Summit Racing sells some Header wrapping tape. We have used it with good
results on other types of vehicles. It seems to do what it is intended to
do, which is to reduce the engine compartment temp when used to wrap the
exhaust headers.

For the record, the insulation is for the rockers, since my pipes are going
THROUGH the rockers. I would like to put a little something down so that I
don't burn the paint and the carpet off the sills. I would also like to
avoid such things as burning myself and anything else that goes near the
sills. I am not trying to build a refrigerator, I am just trying to keep
temps low enough so as not to build a firetrap.

PS: All I want are some recomendations of heat insulation. I have already
found a few sources but would like to know what works and what people like.
