 I've heard OK things about Green Gauges, which is the custom division of
Smiths aftermarket gauges.  You can design your gauges on their web-site.  I
don't know that they work any better than the other brands (after all, we're
still talking about Smiths here) but they do seem willing to keep sending
you replacement gauges until you get one that works.  At least that's what I
ve read on the net.  I saw some for sale on e-bay a month or two ago.  I
told the fellow right from the start that I wasn't going to buy his (as I
wanted a different color) so I wasn't worried about him feeding me a line of
bull.  He was using the programmable speedo until he decided on a
wheel/tyre/gear combination, at which point he went back to the OEM gauge.
