Thanks to all who responded to my questions about my leaking exhaust manifold.
-I found a place in town that had the Moss Motors manifold donuts I need for 5
bucks. I have looked at them and they seem to be different than the old cruddy
ones on the manifold now. They have a metal ring with asbestos on one edge.
Does anyone remember which side the asbestos goes on? I'm guessing from the
way the old ones are installed that the asbestos goes on the manifold side.
- The old ones don't have the metal rind. I took them off and there's some
asbestos material but no metal, making them considerably thinner. So hopefully
these new ones should do the trick. Thanks again.
