I have a midget with fenders mounts and have gone to both convex.  I started
with a convex only on the passenger side but found that a flat on the
driver's side was not enough.  Your field of view is just too small.  For an
undistorted view, use the interior mirror.  Two convexs have been fine for
me.  It does take a little getting used to....
