Terry,

I am with you on the transmission oil issue.  Because I don't know diddly
squat about what oil to use, I just blindly do whatever the manufacturer
says to do.  As a physiologist, however, I would say that intrapleural
fluid is preferred as the lubricant in the rib cage.  SAE 80 or 90 gear
oil should only be used in genuine emergencies because it sticks to the
ribs.  My mom always used to say that oatmeal sticks to the ribs, too, but
I guess that is getting a bit off the subject.
