Besides beijg a MG enthusiast I am also an amateur astronomer.Last friday I
went up to Mt Pinos for our monthlt pilgrimage to the mountains.There is
usually a few hundred astronomers up there with a multitude of
telescopes.Anyway I left Lancaster in the High desert Fri afternoon in about
95 degree weather drove about 65 all the way to Frazier Park had dinner and
continued up to Mt Pinos at
about 8000 ft when I stopped the car I heard some coolant bubbling and
overflowing This had never happened before and I had just checked the
coolant a couple of days ago so I wwas a little concerned so I popped the
bonnet and found that I had forgotten to put the radiator cap on!!I am
pretty impressed with my little B Idrove all the way up there without a cap
and didn't overheat
