One word of warning (and this applies as much to cross plies on wire
wheels), check that the tapes which run on the insides of the rims to,
protect the tube from the sharp end of the spokes, are in good condition.
The tapes are usually of a woven cloth material. Many tyre (tire) shops
these days have never heard of them, let alone stock them.
The only disadvantage with radials with tubes is that, if punctured, they
will run flat instantly and the walls will almost certainly be destroyed
before you can pull up - so a new tyre is needed.
