Hain't done one that far myself, but Lindsay Porter's book, 'MGB Guide to
Purchase & DIY Restoration' is an excellent source for just this sort of
thing. First edition (if you can get your hands on one) has info for
restoring an existing car; second edition has info for taking a donor car and
moving the bits to the Heritage Body Shell (not precisely what you're doing,
but close enough). Excellent pics, good info. I'm certain the worthies here
can fill in the blank spots that Mr. Porter's book has.
