Hey Milo,

You've probably solved the problem, I think.  It sounds to me like it was
definately ignition...if you read these messages regularly, you'd know I had
a very similar problem with my 79 B recently.  It turned out to be a
combination of a bad ignition switch and a bad amplifyer (the 79 had electric
ignition).

The only other thing you didn't mention that could cause a problem, however
unlikely, would be the ignition switch, or simply a bad lead connection or
ground somewhere.  Also, if you have an ignition relay switch, you may want
to check that, too.
