Well Tom, you need a vacation right here in California...bring your check
book and spend a couple of weeks....for somewhere between 5 and 10 K you will
find an MGA that you can drive back to the East Coast. In todays S.F.
Chronicle there are 5 MGA's for sale:

MGA '62 Red, Good cosmetic and mech. cond. runs strong. $14.5K, a ridiculous
price. This guy has been smoking something from Humbolt county! 510 820
0549

MGA "62 Mark II Coupe original $6500 415 967 2720

MGA '60 wire wheels, good body, $3,800 / bo 916 626 7762

MGA '59 Rdstr 100% rstd perf. extras $13.5k 510 533 5040 Hummmm that Humbolt
stuff must be pretty good. or else, I lost track of what restored A's go
for.....

MGA '58 no rust, runs gd. solid $5000. Also TR3 510 527 3062

And this is just the Chronicle in one day, You can probably access the San
Jose Mercury News from the internet for more car browsing. And yes, we all
have at least 10K in our MG's no matter the model.....Try a prewar for the 20
and 30 K range.....:-)
Good Luck on your quest.....
Terry
