The steering rack is not sealed at the ends. Assuming that you have oil in the rack, there is also oil in the boots. IF your boots have deteriorated or split, chances are you've lost most of the oil from the rack. Fit new boots, then fill the rack. Regards, MGBChris@aol.com |
