To the group,

This is a time honored practice with us t-type owners as well. Your 
cooling greatly improves if you have a 50/50 ratio to the grill slats, 
that is, looking at the front of your car you should have equal 
amounts of space and grill slat(width exposed). If not bend the slats 
at the top and bottom carefully with a taped pair of pliers until you 
achieve same.
