Lee,
   I have a 79B that has the hose you are referring to connected to a
largish brass color pipe that is inserted in the stromberg carb body right
before the mounting flange on the rear (bulkhead side).
This car has a plastic restrictor that fits over the brass colored pipe and
inserts inside the hose. I do not know if this is standard. I cannot find
this part in the catalog, but it is there. It is made of hard white plastic
and I assume it was purpose built as it is a perfect fit (no vacuum leak).
The *hole* in the restrictor is about 3/16 inch - that is a memory recall! I
can measure it if you really need to know. Hope this helps John.
