Strange, my Haynes manual, for all models of the MGB Roadster and GT
Coupe with 1798cc engine, says use Castrol GTX 20w/50 in the gearbox
and overdrive, and Castrol Hypoy B90 in the rear axle (p.11 in the
1981 edition, p.9 in the 1977 edition).
However, a lot has changed in the past 15 years, including lubricants, so I
opt for Red Line synthetics in my '67 GT's gearbox and diff.
