With all this 6v to 12v talk going on, remember to use those battery 
boxes for your year car and please consider the battery cut-off switch 
behind the passenger's seat at the same time. This one safety item can 
save you many a heartache.(See Hemmings for one of the cheapest prices 
around) I have them on the TD, A coupe, and both B's. They also serve 
as theft deterrents. I just stuff an MG cap over them to hide from 
inquisitive eyes.
