Any 70's Midget over $5,000 should be almost museum perfect and you
should have full expectation for it to be a daily driver right from the
start. I'll wager the car has way over 24,000 miles on it. Why would
someone repaint from the original color in only 24,000 miles? After
being around for 26 years, the odometer becomes highly suspect. Chrome
wire wheels are pricey but not original, and it is unusual to have much
chrome under the hood other than valve covers and maybe them dash pot
condoms.

I think the car sounds about 1/3 over priced. On the other hand, it is
your money and, if you like it, buy it. But I would stand firm at,
maybe, a $4,500 offer. Let them stew a few weeks. Buyer's of $5,800
Midgets are not that plentiful.

All of the above are the absoulte facts (in my humble opinion).
