In my haste to pull the engine/tranny on my '70 MGB last fall, I've
forgotten to note which of the two switches on the tranny are which.
According to the Moss catalog, the switch on the left side (the one that
is angled back towards the driveshaft) is the reverse switch. However,
from the way the wire harness appears to want to fit, that should be the
O/D lockout switch (the wire that comes from the O/D solenoid is on that
side) and the reverse switch should be on the right side (dipstick
side). The tranny is out of the car, otherwise I'd just throw it in
reverse and see which switch closes.
Can anyone confirm which is which?
