I've always been interested in this subject and have done a lot of reading on
it.  To put it in a nutshell, you can add the additive if you want to (good
insurance), but unless you are going to be towing a trailer or doing any
driving that may put the engine under heavy loads, there has never been any
good hard evidence, that I've read about, showing that unleaded gasoline
causes any harm under normal driving conditions, especially the low mileage
we put on our cars.  I'm no engine guru, this is only based on what I've
read.
