        The best, and surest method is disassembly.  That, however, is
not the easiest way to go.  You can, if you are very, very careful, heat
the  top of the swivel axle.  Use a small propane torch "on idle", or the
equivalent.  You do not need the hot wrench for this procedure as we are
not talking about very much heat here.  If this is done right, you can
touch these parts w/out leaving skin.  You need to heat the part
gradually and remember that the heat will travel a considerable distance,
but mostly up.  Notice the proximity of the shock arms and rubber
bushings.  The theory is that the grease will melt before assorted rubber
parts in the chain.  Remember also that the heat will continue to move
after you have stopped applying heat.
        After all this cools down, grease as you would normally and most
of the goo will come out.  If you do it too soon, the new grease will
melt, as well, but it will be only messy and not harmful.
