I'm finally getting around to looking at installing the headrests I got last
year. I've checked into having the local upholstry shop do it and it seemed
somewhat outrageous. So this morning I pulled off the passenger seat back
and looked inside. Seems there is no internal provision for the slides. It
looks like I either try to find frames to fit or do a little welding. Either
way, it's not that big of a deal. I'm just wondering if I actually have
frames from another year. I know the '69 interior was a transitional year
and no one supplies anything for it, but I'd have thought that the factory
wouuld have installed glides for headrests as a matter of course.

Any of you out there have a '69 with headrests installed have any insight?
BTW, the frame I have has two vertical rods going straight up from the
threaded holes in the bottom where the seat back adjustment bolts go into
the frame. No other provision for guides.

The other inherent problem could be; the frames possibly being earlier,
would the same upholstry set fit on the '69 frmaes?
