Jay,
Is MTL the gear oil?
I thought we weren't supposed to use gear oil in the tranny since the
tranny takes motor oil.
I am using Redline (I think it is MTL) in mine, but I have the Datsun
5-speed installed now. It is nice in that it shifts the same whether hot
or cold, but I somehow feel the tranny might be quiter with some heavier
oil in it. I haven't run the Datsun tranny with regular oil, maybe I'll
try it some time.
I haven't tried Redline in the rear end, but would be surprised if you
could really tell a difference. Let us know!
