To all MGA gurus,

I have just returned from looking at an MGA. I have an idea of what I
think it is worth, but I want to see how close I am. Please give me
your best guess based on the info below.

1960 MGA roadster (according to Clausager)
Mechanicals
- 1500cc engine
- SU carbs
- runs well
- no problems shifting into any gear, 1-4, R
- engine compression around 120 (according to owner)
- oil pressure guage reads 40 at idle
- no other gauges work, at least they do not read anything (ignition
light on spedo does work)
- wire wheels
- heater seems to work
- brakes were gone, but owner claims to have rebuilt and resleeved the
master cylinder
- clutch lets out very near the bottom (having never before driven an A,
I want to make sure that's normal)
Body
- poor quality paint job, but still in good shape
- very straight body, only rust is surface rust under boot (nothing
steel wool wouldn't remove)
- minor damage to rear (small amounts of bondo to repair)
- reasonably good chrome
- shoddy rocker repair job (untidy welding)
- good, even gaps in the doors
- piping good, although painted over
Interior
- seats shot
- owner has some black carpet (not a kit, just backed black carpet)
- dash in good shape (although covered by some sort of self adhesive
vinyl cover)
- no door panels
- top frame, no canvas
- owner claimed to have tonneau, but not with him
- all studs and other hardware for top and tonneau
- new floor boards
- side curtains needed help

This is all I can think of that you might need to know to help me with
an estimate. If you need any more info, let me know.

Thanks in advance for all of the help.
