I posted to the list a couple days ago regarding the swapping of MGB seat
bottom frames to MGA seat back frames(thanks to those who responded) and now
can report the following to anyone who ever might be the slightest bit
interested.

1st. MGA seat bottom frames are built with an angle in them to fit the
curvature of the car framework, while MGB ones are square. (not a big deal
really)

2nd. MGB seat frames have a 2 inch riser in them at the front that allows
things to more easily get lost under the seat ( this is a big deal because
that slight bump in the front of the MGA seat will affect a feet going to
sleep condition from the pressure on the old blood supply to the lower legs.

3rd. It appears (haven't really measured ) that the seat slide rails are the
same for both.

4th. even the early MGB seats could adjust the angle of the seat back by
turning out the screws at the rear bottom of the seat back frame, while MGA
seat backs were NOT adjustable at all.

Now everybody file this away somewhere where you won't forget it... Like
maybe under the seat!

Cheers,
Tom
