I know nothing about Austin Americans other than some 6 cylinder Austin models
have the same engine and BW auto as the C - I think this a Type 65 or Type 66
Borg Warner Auto transmission. * IF * this is the case then parts should be
pretty available.

Let me know,

Thanks,

Dr. Doug

Hello,
I need some advice. I ran across an Austin America at an autobody shop.
The owner told me that a customer towed it in several years ago.
When he got to the shop he noticed that he had burned up the
automatic transmission. The engine runs and the rest of the car is in
great shape. I think I can get it for $200. Is it worth it?
Does anyone have a source for Austin automatic transmission parts or
experience with the car in general?
                        Thanks,
                              Mike Russcher
