I have a 66 BGT with violently damaged exhaust headpipe. The engine is a
later 5 main bearing block with no engine ID plate. My catalogues list two
exhaust manifolds. One 18G to 18GK engines and the other 18V on. The
drawings of the headpipes look different at the headpipe to manifold
connection flanges. My headpipe looks most like the later version and my
exhaust manifold has the numbers 12H 709 or /09 on front fork. Rear fork has
J10 MOWOG. Will either head pipe fit either manifold? The shock of hitting
some one's lost bottle jack at 60 miles per hour popped the tail light lens
out of my tail light. I have a spare upper part only. The catalogues list
original equipment and after market. Will the lower piece of one fit with
the upper piece of the other. I don't know which I have --the original or
the re manufactured. This is the future "parts" car. Really don't want to
spend more money than necessary to keep it running.

Thanks...
